Meditation: What is it and why is it important?

Meditation. It has been used for centuries by the mystics and traditional Tibetan monks. There has been much talk about it recently and I wanted to give clarity on the topic. ONE PERSON THAT MEDITATES IS MORE POWERFUL THEN THOUSANDS THAT DO NOT!
Meditation is a way of connecting to your heart and soul in silence. No it does not have to be in a cross-legged position chanting OM, although many do find this of great benefit. Meditation is simply a silencing of the mind. We allow our thoughts to just keep on moving without putting any energy into them. It takes mere minutes for me to drop into my heart space and start sending out love to the world. I envision a blanket of rose pink light encompassing the earth and her inhabitants, bringing unconditional love, healing, compassion and peace to all. If I have specific issues I need clarity on, I will talk with my higher self or my guides and receive answers about these issues. Some of my meditations are simply surrendering to what is and allowing the answers to come to me rather then me forcing a solution.
You may ask why meditation is so important. It may seem silly to sit quietly. Well it is important to take time to just be at some point for various reasons. When we are so busy doing, as we have been trained to do by society, we create a cobweb of thoughts in our mind, as well as have the constant chatter of the monkey mind which goes non stop. Unless of course you are aware of it and have reprogrammed this thinking pattern. Even so, meditation is still vital for calming the mind, connecting to the heart, and touching the soul. These three aspects of self must be connected and work in harmony in order for the internal GPS, (our guidance system also known as intuition), to be active. We are not meant to struggle in this life or feel overwhelmed or alone. We are meant to be tuned into our true self, our higher multi dimensional aspects, and go with the flow of life. Resistance to the natural flow causes fear, scarcity, lack, anger, hurt, physical illness and more. Going with the natural flow brings internal peace, ease, healing, self love, joy, abundance and prosperity! So why not go with the flow? Resistance causes these same issues to persist. So let's all make it easy on ourselves and just be happy!
Meditation also heals the physical body. It calms the mind and allows the issues causing
dis-ease to be dealt with. When issues come up to be healed, it is much easier to do so from a place of calm and peace. This is our inner work. It is the responsibility of each of us to take care of our energy field and be responsible for the energy we bring into every space! Since everything and everyone is energy, we are all connected. When I walk into a room and someone has been fighting, I feel it right away! The tension is palpable and uncomfortable. I have actually left a building because the energy was so heavy, dense and dark. Once you tune into your soul self, you realize the power you have to create your reality. When you turn inward, and start doing your work to heal, then your outward experience changes quickly and immensely! We are powerful co-creator souls! We have the ability to do so much more then we have been lead to believe! So start tapping into who you really are and watch your world change!
That is the why of meditation, now let's talk about how. First you need to decide what method works for you. You may need to try a few different methods before you find one you like. It may be that you let go of your thoughts while you cook, exercise, wash dishes, work out, play with your pet, go for a walk in nature, sit by a tree, take a shower or have a hot bath. You may find your best moments in your favorite chair, with your favorite zen music, and incense burning. This is my happy place. Find your best place and we will begin.
Take 3 deep cleansing breaths. Breathe in as far as your belly and lungs can fill. Hold it for 4 seconds, the release for as long as you possibly can. Hold for 4 seconds, then repeat 2 more times. Now ground yourself with tree roots wrapping around your feet and pulling you down into the center of the earth where they wrap around big boulders. This keeps you grounded and centered and present in the now moment. Envision a pillar of golden white light coming up through your body, to your soul star chakra, then to your highest multi dimensional self, connecting with the diamond light of the galactic central sun, and then to Source of all that is.
Now set your intention to use this meditation to connect to your higher self, to your heart and to your soul. Continue breathing for a few minutes as you envision this connection within your body. If you feel guided you can place your hand on your heart and connect even deeper. Now, ask your guides to come close. Specify the questions you have and say you need clarity and understanding on whatever it is. One question at a time and give space to receive the answer. If you are clairaudient, then you hear an actual voice in your ear giving you guidance. However if you are not, then the answer may come as a whisper within your head. Feel free to write down the answers you receive for later reference.
You can connect to anyone you like for a conversation. You can ask to talk to a past loved one. You can ask to speak to our galactic brothers and sisters. You can ask to speak directly to God or Creator if you like. If you believe and trust the process, know that all of this IS POSSIBLE! There is no limit to who you can talk to and the information you can receive. You can even talk with the sun in you like! Play with this and see the potential of who you are! A limitless powerful co-creator in this reality! You can meditate or be mindful for 15 minutes to 2 hours. You get to decide what works for you.
The main goal of this mindfulness and meditation is to have conscious awareness at all times in your day. Learning to silence your negative self talk and reprogramming your belief system is the main focus. Understand that we are all from Creator energy and therefore have the same qualities and abilities Creator does. Connecting to your true self connects you to Creator. Feel the unconditional love of Creator and know you are valued and appreciated for who you are. This will then blossom out and work in every aspect of your life. You can be free of physical pain, learn to speak your truth, balance your chakra energy centers, stay calm and focused, learn how to remove yourself from arguments, be more joyful, and so much more! You will also notice that new and positive opportunities and people start showing up in your experience. As you raise your vibration, the negative people and situations fall away. You will be more in your flow and will find you are more abundant and have financial prosperity! There are so many benefits to meditation! I encourage you to use it as a tool for clarity, understanding, guidance, connection and healing. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Namaste.
