Pay Attention To Your Body

At one time or another, you have most likely gone to the doctor with an issue that you feel is quite serious, only to have the doctor dismiss your concerns or simply hand you a script and tell you to finish the bottle.
How frustrating it is to know something is wrong but not know where to turn for help. I have members of my family that have this happen repeatedly, and it is so disheartening that the people that are supposed to be there to help us, don't help us at all.
Here is what I have learned.
We are the only ones who know what our body feels like inside. We know when we feel off, when we feel tired, when we feel hungry and when we feel sick. It is ever important to listen to what our bodies and souls tell us. It can be relatively easy to diagnose a cold or a flu. We know that vitamin C and echinacea are helpful for a cold and a flu, along with warm liquids, chicken soup (or just broth), and bed rest. But what do you do when something happens that you are not familiar with? You go to the doctor. When the doctor dismisses you because he cannot find anything wrong with you, then where do you turn?
My parents raised me in a field of alternate medicine. I grew up knowing there was a better way than always going to the doctor. I have done a lot of research over my lifetime and I am confident in telling you that the alternative remedies and modalities that were practiced thousands of years ago are still the ones that work the best today. There is a herb for every condition, usually more than one. There are vitamins that fill in what we are missing in our food. There is massage to help your body release toxins and stress so the whole body feels better. Acupunture can help you release tight muscles but also childhood fears. There is unlimited possibilities when it comes to alternative health.
My life purpose is to help others to heal. Not only their physical bodies, but their emotional ones as well. Did you know that if you are not honest with someone and do not use your voice, you will lose your voice. I have seen this happen many times in my encounters with clients. If you experience problems in your legs or lower back, it can mean a fear of moving ahead or being stopped if you try. For each physical complaint, there is an emotion trapped inside. Life is so precious that it would be a shame to go through life with pain and discomfort instead of peace and ease.
Perhaps you were taught that it is not ok to cry. But did you know that tears are healing? It is the physical release that we need to be able to clear the negative energy and allow light and healing into our space. Perhaps you have been programmed to believe that if you cannot do an hour of exercise then you are are not getting enough. That is simply not true. Exercise is cumulative. Every 10 minutes of exercise that you do spend doing something, moving your body in some way, will benefit you tremendously. Some of us are not made to endure strenuous exercises. Some of us do better with yoga and walking and light cardio. I am one of those people. I know that because when I do strenuous exercise, I feel worse, not better. The key here is to listen to your body. Take the time every day to tune in to what is going on and you will be pleasantly surprised. Meditation is a great way to alleviate stress, reduce anxiety and eliminate stress. I make this a practice every day. As I quiet my mind, I am able to tune into what is going on.
If you need any help in these areas, or in any other area, I am here to guide you. Have a blessed and wonderful day!
